Aims/Objectives

  1. To advance formal education of learners by undertaking activities such as sponsorship, career guidance, training, mentoring, and motivating learners; as well as empowering teachers and supporting learning institutions in Uganda.
  2. To promote vocational education for the youth by undertaking skills training activities such as sponsorship of, career guidance, and apprenticeship to trainees, training, mentoring, motivating, and empowering trainers, as well as supporting training institutions with educational materials and infrastructure in Uganda.
  3. To facilitate formal education and skills training for the young people by addressing underlying structural and social barriers to education; i.e. undertaking healthcare interventions including mental health and psychosocial support, sanitation interventions, supporting school feeding programs, preventing or relieving poverty, conducting appropriate research to inform policy, and taking all other necessary actions intended to empower leaners attain sufficient education to enable them, their families, and communities to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient in the Uganda.
  4. To advance education and skills training for the public benefit by undertaking community education activities such as indigenous language education, physical education, environmental education, civic education, financial education, promotion of the arts and culture and games and sports, in Uganda and online.
  5. To advance affirmative action and social inclusion in education and skills training by addressing gender disparities in education and ensuring that children with disabilities and other marginalized children who are at the risk of being excluded from the education and vocational training system are actively sought out and included in special needs educational and training programs.
  6. To undertake local, national, and international advocacy aimed at promoting education, overcoming barriers to education, and enhancing the quality of education that learners get.
